Today I entered the world of people who develop code products and make them available to the broader community. While I've created and published articles, this is the first time I've published the source code of what I did to create the data.
In this case, I've published a project on Github which crawls through information on Wikipedia and extracts information on every person who has been a parliamentarian in the Australian Federal House of Representatives. It is a Python script (Python 2.7) which creates a JSON and CSV file. The information lists every person, provides a link to that persons Wikipedia profile page, and details which Parliament they were elected to, for which Electorate, and for which Party.
A bit of fun, hopefully somebody else finds it useful :)
